Asset Tracking

Find your assets anywhere, whether they are at rest or in motion.


Use Hubble’s open “Find My” Terrestrial Network – built on Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) – for affordable, ubiquitous connectivity.

Problem

Meeting your customers' needs requires tracking many devices, both at known locations (e.g. warehouses or distribution centers) and unknown (e.g. in transit or at a customer site). You need accurate locating at a low price-point that will scale with your business.

Solution

Your product already has a built-in off-the-shelf Bluetooth chip, so you can immediately take advantage of Hubble Network. No hardware changes, no new infrastructure. Just update your device's firmware to start broadcasting on the Hubble protocol, from anywhere (see Hubble's Terrestrial Network Coverage Map).

Analysis of Alternatives: RFID requires too much equipment and doesn’t solve for in-transit tracking. Cellular is expensive and comes with meaningful coverage gaps. NTN solutions like Satellite would require fundamental hardware changes to your product and your business model.

Impact

  1. Expand your business: Track new asset categories and equipment types. Win new customers and grow with existing accounts.
  2. Reduce costs: Reduce or remove your reliance on a cellular chip and let Bluetooth do the heavy lifting. A hybrid connectivity strategy can be optimized for your various business use cases and even for individual customers.
  3. Increase quality: Gain visibility in low coverage areas. Stop losing assets that wouldn’t justify a more expensive tracker.

Hubble Satellite Network (in development) will reinforce your coverage strategy, providing a fallback where Terrestrial Network coverage is limited. Plan to enable the "dual-stack" network with Hubble's SDK, using the same Bluetooth chip.
